Oman: Critics Silenced by Injustices They Exposed, Says Rights Group

An Omani playwright and human rights activist not seen since he presented himself to the police for interrogation has fallen victim to the same injustices he himself worked to expose, says the rights group Human Rights Watch (HRW).
Abdullah Ryami's family say they have not heard from him and have been unable to get any information on his whereabouts from the police since July 12. The police have not allowed them to hire a lawyer for him either.
